Introducing a wearable solution to precisely target the deep brain for improved health and performance.

Attune Neurosciences is a clinical stage company whose mission is to improve human health and performance through clinically-proven, non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical products.

We are funded by leading venture capital investors, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Special Operations Command, the U.S. Air Force, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Our goal is to establish the broad platform potential of our approach across a number of psychiatric and neurological conditions.

Hundreds of elements, two transducers, one precise focus

Effective neuromodulation with ~200,000-fold less tissue affected than to drugs.

Meet the Team

“I actually feel like a normal person!!! I spent the whole day with my grandson. We WALKED to the park, I normally have to drive. I don’t remember the last time I felt this good !!!”

— Participant from chronic pain study

Help Advance Chronic Pain Research

Chronic pain affects nearly one in four people in the U.S., impacting daily life in profound ways. Many treatments, like medications or physical therapy, can help but often fall short — and more advanced options may come with serious risks.

We believe there’s a better path. Our mission is to explore safer, more effective solutions that can truly improve quality of life.

We are currently enrolling participants for a research study in San Francisco to see if our approach can help reduce chronic pain.

  • Participants must be:

    • Experiencing chronic pain

    • 22 to 80 years old

    • Able to undergo a brain MRI

    • Able to visit trial location in San Francisco

    • Fluent in English

You may not be eligible if you:

    • Have a recent or ongoing, uncontrolled, clinically significant medical condition or psychiatric disease other than chronic pain

    • Are unable, for any reason, to complete a brain MRI scan

    • Are pregnant, attempting to become pregnant, or nursing children

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and you can choose to stop at any time for any reason. Participants will be financially compensated.

    Important Information:
While ultrasound has many established medical uses, its application in this research is experimental and is not yet FDA-approved for treatment. The Attune System is an investigational device, used only for research at this stage. The ultrasound stimulation used in this study follows safety guidelines from the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and the International Transcranial Ultrasonic Stimulation Safety and Standards consortium (ITRUSST).

We look forward to hearing from you
